The Child’s Ecosystem of Influence

There are multiple points of influence in the child’s life, and sustained and consistent reinforcement is essential to successfully build safety awareness.

One of the critical aspects of the current program was that it drove a sense of competition, and so the end goal was about winning.

While the program worked well & delivered on most of the objectives, there were also opportunities to further bolster it and drive greater awareness.

Co-creation

Having identified the key problems to solve for, we got in to a co-creation with stakeholders and key members of the child’s ecosystem.

Create a culture of customer driven innovation for an education focused tech company

CONTEXT

Our client, a tech company aiming to create equal opportunities for learning for all was looking to inculcate a culture of design thinking in the organisation so they could build customer focused solutions for the different players in the learning ecosystem. They were also seeking to transform from a product driven to solution driven mindset.

OUR PROCESS

Using a real business challenge to emphasise hands on learning we co-created with the client to define the right problem to solve. Armed with it, the team shadowed the Pensaar Design team on the field to validate the problem and carry out research. Hypotheses arising from the research and the ideation process were then tested using the rapid experimentation method to narrow down to the most optimal solution to take forward. The tools we used were - Problem statement, Fog tool, Customer benefit, 2x2 matrix, Rapid experimentation, Backcasting and Iceberg tool.

Our engagement process

The engagement involved 4 days of workshop over 2 weeks. Post the workshop the Pensaar Design team joined the client on the ground coaching them real time on research and research synthesis techniques, in Bangalore. The client team once equipped with the skills would apply the techniques on their own across multiple locations. This process focussed heavily on coaching and capability building to ensure teams had the confidence to continue to apply design thinking and bring about a mindset shift from solution focus to the problem focus.
